yves sits with one hand resting on their sword, which is bloody and piercing into the grass, and the other hand pouring out a bottle of wine over their head, trailing down their face like (or perhaps mixing with) blood. Their clothes are torn and bloody.
Notes on Creation [Transcript] Unlike a normal human, rather than my body surviving on various combined organ functions alone, much of my function is supplemented by a series of magical process. I don't have several unnecessary organs, and could probably have more removed without issue. (Acquiring them was just an extra hassle. The inclusion of a stomach was mostly a cosmetic choice.) Does this mean nothing in my abdomen is useful? Not quite! I can cast a lot in battle or expend magic naturally healing from any major wounds, leaving me with very little in the tank so to speak! Which means it's better for my body to switch to its natural organ processes -- like using auxiliary power. So, hypothetically, I could get along fine by being less blase with my bodily care -- hypothetically. But if I had no magic at all, I would be quite upset.

Being stuck in bed with a hot water bottle and asking me to bring you chocolate...it just feels really natural for you. GRAMPS: I hate you I hate you I hate you Go to hell
pov gramps (an old man with water arm tattoos and ear gauges) is yelling at you, the fast food cashier, while noh (wearing his red demon mask, with red wind and cloud arm tattoos) stands behind him with his hands in his pockets. "He SAID no FUCKING PICKLES!" Arrows point to both of them. To Noh: "Didn't even order for himself." To Gramps: "Ordered for him, did not remember to say it." Below, the two sit down to eat their meal. Gramps leans over the table to offer a fry, pocky-style. Noh thinks about mauling him with his teeth in a cuteness aggression kind of way.

The changeling thinks of Ben as they extend their hand and press it to his wound. BEN (flashback): If it's an unfamiliar feeling, forgive me The changeling's hand, pressed tightly to Ben's throat, begins to glow.

CHANGELING, internally: I don't understand this feeling. My head-- My chest-- The changeling looks through a bookshelf in Ben's bedroom, finding a book on the Basic Principles of Restorative Magic. They have memories of Ben carrying them home on his back, saying, "We'll fix it." VOICE: It's too warm. CHANGELING: But-- They grab the statue of an elven woman waiting on the bedroom dresser.
CHANGELING: ... The changeling pulls a rag off of Ben's belt and guides his hand to hold it against the wound on his throat. CHANGELING: You have to help me. Hold this tight...right? And then what? The changeling begins looking through books about the kitchen, then elsewhere. CHANGELING: A healing spell? What? CHANGELING, internally: If I'm not that kind of creature-- then what?
The changeling re-enters the kitchen and speaks to Ben, who is laying still on the ground covered in blood. CHANGELING: ... I. I didn't. I shouldn't have-- The changeling gestures to their bandaged, missing arm. CHANGELING, cont.: I mean-- YOU did this, right? You healed it? So, I should-- CHANGELING, cont.: I...want to fix this. How do I fix it? Hey. What do I do?
The old woman offers "Ben" a basket of oranges just before they head inside. WOMAN: Fresh from our tree. We wanted you to have first pick. They're healthy, too, so you be sure to eat a lot and feel better. Take good care of yourself. That shouldn't be too hard for our dear town healer, heh! But if you need anything at all, you know any of us would be happy to help. The changeling holds the basket and looks back at the mess in the kitchen.

The changeling answers, now shifted to wear the face of the man they stabbed. They cover their obvious shoulder wound with a blanket and attempt to smile kindly through the crack in the doorway. "BEN": Sorry, you caught me right in the middle of something. WOMAN: Is everything alright? "BEN": Of course!
