After 10 years of following GDQ on Twitch, multiple donations, running watch and donation parties, and watching it for even longer since GDQ was a tiny operation, I am fully unfollowing GDQ from all channels. I find it very difficult to believe that GDQ was unaware of SNK's involvement with Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and the royal family of Saudi Arabia, perpetrators of crimes against humanity that your main donation affiliate, Médecins Sans Frontières, has actively worked to assist people from.

I strongly urge GDQ to return any money given as part of this partnership and reconsider sponsorships down the road, and I respectfully request a followup to this email if possible when GDQ has formed a statement about what action plan, if any, will result from this.

"We would like to address the recent discussion regarding our newsletter. Windows 8 was released as a drastic re-imagining of the Windows frontend UX with a massive "mobile-first" approach, which incorporated their Metro UI, but it also still tried to cater to more "traditional" PC users
It led to nothing short of an absolute nightmare in the tech sector and Windows 10 promptly walked it all back and corrected it
it's also ironic because just like Windows 11, Windows 8 had some incredible improvements under the hood to the OS that were massively overshadowed by how godawful they tried to build Metro and their new philosophy into every inch of it
