One to file under the 'general enshittification of life': rather than just say 'Thanks, your TV licence will be auto-renewed', the funsters at TV Licensing like to add a bit of unnecessary anxiety to the email.

I just got this email but it turned out to be a phishing link (a .ru domain) – wonder if that's why the copy is a bit "off"?

Oof yeah, they're absolutely terrible. Back when we had a physical office in UK I bought a new TV for home, but had it delivered there, because of course I wouldn't be at home in day. It turns out retailers grass up TV deliveries to them, so for years after, my office got really threatening letters

Update: was a plausible scam email (no clicks made, thankfully). I take it all back, TV Licensing; sense of life enshittification slightly relieved (h/t @mattandrews.bsky.social)
