Namjoon tried to ignore his youngest sibling’s careless behavior to focus on what was truly important. ’What is everyone saying?’ he asked, wondering to what extent his little show had impacted the palace’s opinion. ’Hm… That you two went out. Most of them are relieved that Jimin doesn’t seem to burn when exposed to sunlight.’ Seokjin let out a small squeaky sound and Namjoon frowned, displeased to hear his brothers laugh about Fae stereotypes. ’What?’ Taehyung objected. ‘I wondered too, okay? We know nothing about their people.’ ’What else?’ Taehyung stopped for a second to think, Namjoon wondered how many courtiers he had been talking to these last few hours.

Jimin crossed his arms and scrunched his nose a bit. Though he seemed less aggressive than last time. ‘You said that. I still don’t trust you.’ Yeah, Namjoon could see that. ‘But you seem to trust Taehyung.’ Namjoon regretted the words as soon as he said them. Not because of the content of that one sentence, but because of the tone of it. He had tried his best not to sound too affected, but it had still come out a little childish. If Jimin noticed it, he didn’t comment on it. ’I don’t trust any of you,’ he corrected. ‘But I can appreciate a young man that seems genuinely curious about my people.’ ’That’s the one you should be watching out for the most then. If there was any plan to kill you in the palace, they would send someone you think is harmless.’ Jimin sighed. ‘That’s one way to make me want to trust you, your Highness. Did you think of any further ways to assassinate me? Do you have any other tip?’
