I made this when I first posted a model reveal which I then deleted after getting 2 likes in like 2 days. I am sorry Bluesky, I didn’t know your game. I totally could’ve left it up but I felt a little embarrassed and the cynicism that fuels a lot of my anxiety reared its ugly head. Bit of immersion break: A big reason I wanted to start vtubing is that I have been pretty overwhelmed with despair. I just want to have something simple and fun and nice. A little space that’s mine where everything can be okay. I wasn’t sure if the internet had space for that kind of escapism anymore. I’m just so tired of arguments and insults and people fighting for the bloodsport of it. I’m not built for that. I’m made of paper, I’m 4 inches tall. I wasn’t cut out for that and I don’t think I ever will be. And so, I turned myself into those feelings. I set rules for myself to focus on being cute and unabashedly cringe, like I was back on tumblr in 2011 and I was still obsessed with Tangled and Frozen wasn’t even on my radar. From the bottom of my tiny paper heart, thank you for making me feel welcomed and hopeful.
