i want to do everything before I go can I learn to sew; level up Esperanto on Duolingo; ferment these elderberries into jun; transcribe the sun; interpret my dreams; mess up a sourdough recipe; astrology or astronomy can't pick so maybe just tinker with this short story I’ve been working on;   finish Terms of Endearment; finish Braiding Sweetgrass; finish The Artist’s Way; practice gratitude; signal my virtues; spend all day pondering each and every way I am being perceived; I have to leave time to make a list of all the books I want to buy;  and map my drive to Brietenbush; once there, I promise to unplug,  just steam in the hot springs, sip from a thermos of moringa mint tea, maybe collage across one of several unfinished todo lists, listen for that reliable mealtime gong, end with an unplanned nap in the grand old lodge; I need to start getting ready to be gone; I still hope there is time a phase later in life, to learn all of the ways to watch birds.
