My father-in-law died unexpectedly about three years ago. My wife inherited from him some individual stocks. Tesla was one of them, 15 shares that split three ways to become 45. My wife and I have a practice of never buying or selling individual stocks. We had no control over the inheritance, and it created a problem with this practice. We decided to do nothing with any of the stocks to avoid the appearance of selling at some beneficial moment. We intend to stick to this practice. As for Tesla it is my hope the stock goes to zero. We will gladly lose every last penny of value on that for the greater good of Musk being weakened. I know my father-in-law would agree. He bought the stock when Tesla was an entirely different thing. The comments I receive from constituents are an integral part of understanding the issues that are important to our community. Please know that your input is greatly valued, and I hope that you will not hesitate to reach out to me or my office in the future.”
