A mother, after losing a child gains his mirror image, only to come to realize that the hole in her heart cannot be filled by a puppet. While the "child", programmed to seek love, cannot find it, neither in the human who was supposed to fulfill that programming, nor in a world that hates his kind. What's more, is he can never grow past his programming. He can never grow at all. In the end, he is given a brief chance to feel the love he wasn't given and it is there, at the mercy of beings far beyond human, the flawed creation of man is finally put to rest.
