The truth is, these systems are not aberrations within a fundamentally just world, requiring only a moment of sublime destabilization for things to be good again; they are working as intended and will reemerge like weeds without diligent effort to destroy their roots and replace them with better structures. Likewise, the hero's hubris sits in the belief that destroying a BBEG is the end of their journey.
