a young green heron stands on a lichen covered branch and stares face on at the viewer. they have just grown out of most of their long wispy grey baby fluff aside from the bit on the very top of their head which is being blown to the right in a lovely comb over. their chest is a mix of reddish brown and light colored feathers forming streaks. their belly is fluffy and bright white. their legs are a pale yellow. they stare with bright yellow eyes on either side of a long orange beak
5 green herons in a nest as the sun rises. there are 2 adults and 3 fluffy grey chicks. the front chick has their beak wide open and neck extended so you can see in there. it looks like they are singing or perhaps yelling (they were yawning). parents look bedraggled from just getting chomped on a bunch. the other two chicks are just sitting on the left side of the neat looking small. they are surrounded by green leaves and warm light

an adult green heron sitting on their nest made of lichen covered sticks in a scruffy tree covered in bright green leaves as seen through an opening in the leaves. under them are 3 fluffy grey chicks. ones face can be seen squished on the left side, one has their back to the camera and is sitting up and the thirds yellow beak is just visible under parent heron wings on the right. parent heron is mostly loafed with their beak wide open and pointed upward in what may be an exasperated yell from dealing with 3 tiny fluffy terrors or perhaps it is just a yawn. hard to say

a small brown american toad sitting on the forest floor amongst dirt and leaves and little sticks. they are facing to the left of frame and one of their black and gold eyes is visible. they are quite round and bumpy with a classic toad frown.
