Newspaper cutting reading as follows: Army Game Script Writer Dead. Larry Stephens, aged 35, one of the writers of ITV's Army Game died on Sunday. He was a founder-member of the Goon Show and wrote the scripts for it with Spike Milligan from its beginning in 1950 until two years ago. Since then he worked on the Army Game. He wrote during his career for most of the top line comedians. During the war he served in Burma as a captain in the Commandos. He had been in ill health for a year.
