A doodle of the Female Rainbow Rocket Grunt from Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. I made these after Cappuccino04 asked people to make more fanart of this character. I remember being mindblown that 40 people had seen and liked my post. I don’t really care for (numbers of) likes, and will post even if noone sees it, but it sure is a nice feeling when something I made is enjoyed by someone out there. When I made my Bluesky account, one of the earliest posts I made was Friends With Tax Benefits. That doodle got 100 likes within like a day. It’s currently at just over 230 likes. I still can’t fully believe that many people enjoyed my silly art. I am honoured. I definitely miss some aspects of old Twitter still, but I’m so very happy I deleted all my art there and moved to bsky. This platform is so much more enjoyable to use and has recaptured everything I missed in social media for years. The fact that there’s actual people, who actually get to see my silly art, is wonderful. The algorithm makes my little doodles appear on timelines of so many people who genuinely enjoy seeing art like mine, which is awesome. My mindset regarding putting my art out there for the world to see is, and always has been, that if my silly doodles can make even just one person smile for a brief second, happier even just a little, that’s a success in my books. I make art because I like to, I post it online on the off chance that maybe, just maybe, someone might stumble across it and enjoy it. I have never cared for amounts of likes, though I do appreciate them very much. Seeing a number representing hundreds of people who enjoyed my little doodle is incredibly heartwarming. I’ve absolutely adored my time on bsky so far. I hope to provide more smiles to kind strangers on the internet for a while to come still. <3
