Here's a $1M B2B niche: Digital signage solution for Hospital waiting rooms. They use this pitiful zoomed-in SAP screen, half the space is taken up by scaled up UI elements. (Ignore the baby seal)

Next to impossible to bring schools or hospital to use any NEW software :)

A former colleague built a medical practice management tool with a waiting room feature. I'm not sure if it fits this need and also it's pretty tailored to Austria. So, I think a standalone waiting room tool that could also work with inputs from other tools/sources would indeed be a nice niche idea!

I have friends who have a tiny startup with hospitals as customers. It‘s super hard to get into.

I'm curious if you have ideas on how you would pitch a product here, because a few things spring to mind that might make it tough: - it seems like they already have something that's good enough - the person that deals with this UX issue is a long way from the person that signs off on expenses

One does not simply *ignore* the baby seal

Wow, talk about missed potential. It looks like a zoomed in Excel sheet. With the right UX, it could elevate both staff efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Those solutions exist. I guess the money to make here is in sale and consulting 😋
