As for b) cold start times should not be a significant issue at scale (especially with runtimes like Rust) - unless you have a highly latency-sensitive use case. If so, it’s always going to be a tradeoff between perf and cost. But even then you might be surprised how few cold starts you get

cold starts are definitely an issue at the scale I'm working. Also "at scale" - nonsense utterly infinite variability. I'm certain that "at facebook scale" it has little to no impact (because it's always on), but "at remy's project scale" most landings will be a cold start and that's just bad.
