It's so much work but my hatred for blurry bsky images transcends the
slight pain in the ass. Also if your colors are washed out a little just open
it in an image viewer and bump the vibrancy / sat up a bit

This manga came from a memory I have of when I
was a kid. I had a pen that I really loved, and I broke
it in two. Along with the sense of loss, I had a feeling
like the pen was pleading with me. I hope you enjoy

The concept of vital instruments came from the
hangers in my grandma's house that come with the
dry cleaning.

When I'm thinking up characters, I create them to
be decent people, but then I actually draw them and
for some reason, they turn out to be freaky weirdos.
I've given up, realizing that this is who they truly are.

I'm not gonna pretend that I hate social media. In fact, I quite like it... in moderation. I pretty much only use Bluesky and Tumblr, where I block freely and filter out shit I don't like or don't want to see. I occasionally browse Instagram, but it's extremely dogshit and I hate that it's the only place I can see event announcements for concerts and raves. I use Discord for personal reasons, and I don't "get" the community/social aspects of the platform nor the desire to be in group chats with hundreds or even thousands of strangers.

Maybe it's because there's a high concentration of teenagers and kids online these days, but you can't get away from the same discourse surrounding queer identities, pointless fandom drama, and the ever-present concept of DNIs and BYFs that you see on every other shitty website. Hell, I saw someone with "PLUR does not include proship" on their site, as if shipping discourse is the biggest issue at raves when you're surrounded by people wasted beyond reason and can't even hear anyone over the music, anyway.

(For the record, I don't participate in fandoms, I am just a mere "observer" so to speak and know many people who are involved in them.)

Of course, I can't judge minors for making sites -- I was 17 when I initially made my site on Neocities, though this year I will be turning 27, so it's been awhile. However, it's starting to become very jarring and almost disappointing to me when I look around and see myself surrounded by kids, longing for Windows 7 or even XP when they weren't even old enough for that era.
