Asking for a friend... To clarify, what I mean is that most DMs start off wanting to run a fully homebrew campaign. Once you've done that, a solid pre-written module, with lots of work done for you, holds a lot of appeal!

I dunno what is meant by "playing a fighter". But sure to have a framework for an adventure is a nice palate cleaner after creating everything whole cloth. But think of a module as being like a musical riff - something to launch the rest of the music from
