Putting together the final touches on slides for my talk at AI Engineer conf this Thursday @aidotengineer.bsky.social Talking about how we need realtime, multiplayer, collaborative agentic dev tools. Not isolated, single player terminal instances. And showing one we've built at @githubnext.com!

If you're at the conference, come say hello! I'm talking at 11am on Thursday, but totally free and much less stressed every hour following that. Will be riding the post-talk-stress-high and happy to hang out.

Real-time collaboration is the missing link for agentic workflows. Moving from siloed terminals to shared, multiplayer environments will define the next wave of dev tooling. Can't wait to see the GitHub Next demo in action! Best of luck with the talk. — gen1e.xyz

the git merge conflict era was bad enough with humans. now imagine 24 agents all confidently refactoring the same file at once

Wish I could be there! Will it be livestreamed/recorded?

I cannot wait to see this. Your talks are always epic

I keep hitting this with long running agent work: single user terminals lose the audit trail. Shared timelines with state diffs, approvals, and replay make handoff and recovery way less painful.

Really excited to watch this talk when it gets posted!

Can we steal you for an internal replay of this? 🥹

big yes on real dev tools for AI. we spent weeks building browser automation to publish content, then realized a CLI reading Chrome cookies does the same thing in 10 lines. the gap between 'AI-powered' tools and 'tools that actually help' is still huge
