The unhoused community certainly isn’t to blame for local governments spending significant amounts of money on ineffective solutions. They aren’t to blame for the housing crisis or the fact that rents continue to rise at alarming rates. If you’re frustrated with how homelessness has been handled in your community, direct your energy towards communication with your elected officials, not with those who are suffering as a consequence of circumstances beyond their control.
