Picture of a maple tree branch taken today during my walk in Dun Laoghaire, shows maple leaves (I'm not sure of the exact species), they made me stop and take a picture because of their amazing colouration. They are normal, bright, slightly waxy green on top, but the bottoms are maroon brown, and from my perspective they looked almost like they had velvety or leathery texture.
