At first I thought they sounded decent...but something was missing. I knew something was off, the mixing was slightly weird, the instrument arrangements sometimes felt out of place, and the consistency felt too...uncanny for it to be naturally made. Then after reading the channel description, a wave of anger and vitriol hit me like a train. The channel had dozens upon dozens of videos, some multiple hours long, of these all impossibly created and uploaded within the year. The fact the mother fucker was so smug about it too. This fucking moron knows what he's doing is horseshit. What an insult to musicianship. Half of what makes music as awesome as it is...is fucking MAKING IT YOURSELF. If a person, musician, artist, whatever, didn't put ANY creative input into the performance, either recorded by hand or taken the time to program the sequencing, then what's the fucking point? Convenience? Artistry isn't solely about convenience, its about creation and self-expression. I take satisfaction in my work, whether its objectively good or not because I did it, I made it, those are MY instruments performed by MY hands. I put the time and effort to create it. What also really bothers me is that to anyone who doesn't have a musically-experienced ear or don't know music enough to notice, wouldn't be able to tell the difference. At least not right away. People are being tricked into thinking all this AI garbage is genuine. And it sickens me. I guess my main point is...fuck AI, and fuck anyone who thinks they can just pump out "art" because they can. Tech-bros and corpo scumbags can take their AI and shove it up their ugly asses.
