My initial IG story review of STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE on March 17, 2026 includes a screenshot of me googling "star wars gold guy" because I didn't know who C-3PO was back then, ok? I got him and R2-D2 confused. Anyway, in the screenshot, Google answers my question NOT with AI (thank goodness) but with photos of C-3PO. The text overlay says: "I've moved onto Star Wars! I loved the first one! A great intro to the world (and I needed it because this is what I googled during it). More on Letterbox when I gather my thoughts."

And now she's an adjunct professor, returning to USC's commencement for the first time in 14 years, this time as faculty, and master's students keep asking her: "How do I wear this hood?!?" A valid question.

Wes Rucker on Folly Beach, a place he loved
Screenshot of notes app: "Wes I regularly tell my students about how lucky I was to start my career in Chattanooga at the Times Free Press in 2006 and that was a team that included Wes Rucker. My cubicle was right across from him when he covered the Mocs. He’d regularly rib me for being “The Yankee in the South,” and for being (somehow) good at the high school football pick ‘em box. Most importantly, he helped me to cover my first big time college basketball games with kindness and no condescension. He’s the reason I knew Davidson’s Steph Curry was going to have a big career (In his cube, Wes talked about him all the time). I even helped him catch up on Grey’s Anatomy. With Wes, beneath all the sports takes was a ton of heart. I wasn’t surprised that he became a devoted husband and father. Wes and I were contemporaries, but he was always the superior sportswriter, making an indisputable impact on Vols and SEC sports for over 2 decades. How lucky was the industry to have him and how lucky was I to have known him, for even a short time. Absolutely devastated for his family, friends and for us all to lose him so tragically and far too soon. Thinking and praying for his wife and children during this difficult time."
