I can't believe that he retains his notion of the US spreading democracy around the world while even mentioning Central America.
I'd be curious to know the origin of this notion. It's so unbelievably absurd, but it isn't the first time I've heard someone assert that the US helped establish modern democracy in western Europe as if it's a fact and anyone who doesn't know that is uneducated. Is this something taught in schools?
