I've lived in Florida for longer than I like to think about, and the entire damn state reminds me of my visits to Myrtle Beach as a kid. There are some really cool places here, but you really have to seek them out. The rest of it is shit.

I can't get over how genuinely terrible this place is. I'm staying in some 5 bedroom McMansion that's like 10 minutes from Disney World and the mortgage is less than the rent on my 2 bedroom apartment in LA.
