Not really sure how the US comes back from this. Who wants an ally that just whimsically starts wars, threatens genocide, and tanks the global economy? Absolute clown show.

I suspect the IS will continue waning in global importance in the coming months and years. It has shown it is not a reliable partner at all and can turn against you at any moment.

Look at how they spin it as Iranian capitulation rather than US defeat! The BBC are utterly shameless shills! The facts are that the US has all-but surrendered by adopting the Iranian 10 point framework and agreeing to a ceasefire. Trump is desperately trying to save face despite humiliation.
I can't see the election changing anyone's mind. Trump didn't vote himself into office twice, or force congress to sit back and do nothing while he waged an illegal war that explicitly violates the constitutional limits placed on his power. The US doesn't have a Trump problem, it has a US problem.

The US doesn't come back from this. We've seen you, we know you now. It doesn't matter who you vote for next, we can't trust your judgment long term. We're marshaling together, and we've written you off.
This is quibbling, but that is actually an op-ed; the BBC doesn’t label them as such but you can clearly tell the difference between their straight reporting and the freer hand their correspondents have when doing an ‘analysis’ piece
Going to see countries just ignoring us even if we make structural changes to the law. They've seen the change in president lead to small changes/rollbacks in the past & just went with it. After this dumbass going on his own over & over punishing allies worse than enemies we're cooked long term.
And the part a lot of people are missing is that even when they get rid of Trump, for allies they have to contend with the fact that another Trump like president could be elected by the same people again and so the US cannot be seen as a reliable partner anymore.
