I woke up this morning to find that Joey—my number one cuddle buddy, favorite little shit, the biggest personality in my house by far, and overall bestest boy—had crossed over the rainbow bridge during the night. He will forever be missed. 🌈💔 God, 2026 has been awful.

I know it doesn’t seem like it, but having a furry family member pass in their sleep is a blessing. I’ve not had that happen in over 30 years of rescuing dogs. I’ve always had to make the agonizing decision 8 times now and it never gets easier. I am so sorry for your loss.
