This video shows a teaching moment, where salt packets are added to a kiln once it reaches cone 10. The packets are added to ports on either side of the door in multiple stages, and the smoke being released is similar to mustard gas so you gotta move once they're in. The vapor created from burning the wet salt packets circulates through the kiln and adheres in a thin layer to the surface of everything inside the kiln.
