Unit 01 didn't understand the words, but he understood the boundaries of the rounded ink border defining his containment card. The overarching narrative is that these characters are part of a forgotten, alternate history 1970s spiritual movement that stumbled into a hyper-dimensional plane. But instead of achieving a typical mystical or magical enlightenment, they immediately ran into cosmic bureaucracy.
The cosmos operates on strict, exhausting administrative rules. Moving a holy relic or a piece of astral cargo requires a literal supply chain, heavy utility straps, and physical labor. The individuals you see are not experiencing religious ecstasy; they are experiencing corporate fatigue.
Every bizarre ritual, custom suit, and piece of analog gear is just another layer of paperwork and protocol required to keep the infinite moving on time
