Marcelo Teson @marceloteson.com · Dec 24 So the good news is that there is a Pea Soup Andersen's still open - the one in Buellton is closed but the one in Santa Nella remains! It's definitely not the same on that drive, though. I'm glad I still have this recipe card from one of my visits. I make it all the time in the winter.

I forgot to add alt text: 2qts water 2 Cups Green split peas 1 branch celery, coarse chop 1 lg carrot, chop 1 sm onion, chop 1/4 tsp ground thyme 1pinch cayenne 1 bay leaf salt/pepper Boil all of it for 20 mins, then slowly til peas are tender. Strain thru fine sieve (I just blend) and reheat
