Starting on chapter 11 today! Approximately halfway through my line edits for Harem of the Heavens. I'm so excited. I know it still has to go to copyediting after this, but we're getting so close! I love this book so much too. The characters are all-consuming. I'm in awe of the way this one is turning out. I think my readers (and plenty of new-to-me readers) will adore Harem of the Heavens. Just an update on 2 of my WIPs. 1. Harem of the Heavens, the first book in a new universe that is unrelated to my previous works, was sent back to me by my editor now that she's done her line editing. I'll be working on implementing her feedback on the manuscript for the next few weeks. 2. The Depths of Bloodshed and Purgatory, another book that is in The Islands of Rune universe and relates to the books I have already published, is back in her hands and she will be doing the line edit for it while I work on HOTH. Why call my book a dark romantasy? Dark Romance + Romantasy was my math. From what I've seen, BookTok and Bookstagram are mostly using Dark Fantasy to refer to a specific kind of dark that has nothing to do with a book's adult content. Thus, I found a term I thought might be better understood by the community.

Project Updates! 1. The Fate of Angels and Demons was accepted by 2 more brick and mortar stores. 2. The Depths of Bloodshed and Purgatory, the follow up to The Fate of Angels and Demons, is back from dev editing and I'm working on implementing that feedback. 3. The Harem of the Heavens, a new series I'm working on, is in line editing. 4. Love and Lots, a short contemporary romance story, is under review by a few lit mags. 5. The Otaku and the Book Girl: Romance Gone Awry, a serialized graphic novel inspired by manga, is in development with the artist I'm collaborating with. Magic System: Rune are attributed to characters based on island and magic type. They appear on the characters body like tattoos and glow when active. Bloodlines: There are three main bloodlines that appear in this universe. Those are priestesses/priests, angels, and demons. This is, of course, based on ancestry. Sometimes they skip a generation though. Priests/priestesses, for example, were gifted their abilities as a defense mechanism to protect humanity from angels and demons. From what I gather, Callian is one of the most beloved characters from his sister's book, The Fate of Angels and Demons, according to those who have read it thus far. Now, the story is continuing with him as the main character, getting his own love story in an all new book, The Depths of Bloodshed and Purgatory. I highly recommend getting to know him and some of the other wonderful characters in this universe now so you know everything there is to know when The Depths of Bloodshed and Purgatory is released.
