He responds: No money nor time for a model shot- That 'docking wing' was painted cardboard, pushed against the Enterprise model as it was sitting upside down on its storage mount.
Conversation with Andy Probert. His response reads: This was indeed the photo-base over us which I painted that matte. Nothing had been filmed before Rick Sternbach and I built the docking wing and its extended concourse, married up to that dorsal port-side docking port.
