The Dragon 32 was a noble attempt at a British-built home computer. Unfortunately, it was also a noble attempt at making TRS-80 software seem desirable. I have one now, but I'm finding it hard to find anyone saying positive things. Can anyone help? #Dragon32 #8bit #RetroTech #80sComputing

The Dragon community is quite active - and it's not TRS-80 software, since it runs a completely different processor (the 6809). @heredragons.be

So why love the Dragon? 馃槃 I guess, first thing you need to do is put in context. Christmas '82 it was easily the best, most affordable machine with a real keyboard and Microsoft BASIC. Big selling points at the time. Half the price of a Beeb or a C64 ...

I only saw one of these growing up, a friend had one and got rid of it sharpish, I think he ended up with a C64. The fact it could only do upper case text and the graphics were woeful meant it would find it hard to compete.

Back in the 1990's, I read several stories on comp.sys.sinclair how people had sent away their ZX Spectrum for repairs. Since Sinclair was low on replacement machines, many of the customers got to loan a Dragon 32 in the mean time, which is peculiar.
