Mine did manage to hold on until a HD failure, although I also managed to make an ME installation last about double over average, I was fairly decent at unfucking windows up. For gaming, I think it was still pretty bad, until DirectX 3 came around.

I opted for the "upgrade" from Win 3.11 and what a fucking headache that was! Took a mate of mine, who was more tech-saavy than I was, hours to get it all working properly. Unfortunately, my P100 wasn't up to the task of Win95 gaming so I still had to drop into DOS to play Descent II. Good times...
