Anyone else like me in terminal, when they want to work with their SVN repositories, just press the up arrow to find the command they need? I can never remember the commands for add and commit etc.

Ctrl + R to search your terminal history. Also check out atuin.sh.

Yes and no: I do use that for recent commands, but also have a reference in Apple Notes with the commands I need.

I'm the same. I use Warp which makes the process a lot easier.
