I'm a painter of abstract dreamscapes, mom, grandma, cat custodian, teacher of many and 💙🤚 💙 🫂💙🦋 the fight for democracy is not over. 🫂

The artwork is an abstract composition characterized by a blend of muted colors, predominantly shades of gray, brown, and soft white. Vertical and horizontal lines create a sense of structure within the composition, intersecting and layering over one another. There are sections of darker circular forms along the left edge and a larger dark shape toward the lower right, adding contrast and depth. The central area features lighter, diffused patches of white and gray, giving an impression of ethereal light or fog. The overall texture is rough and layered, enhancing a sense of depth and mystery in the piece.
This piece, Ordered Chaos, is a study in contrasts. Rough textures and layered shapes collide in muted blacks, whites, and beiges, interrupted by sharp touches of teal, red, and green. The white grids and dark smudges push and pull, creating movement within structure. It’s a reflection of urban tension — organized yet unpredictable.

The result is a quiet tension between structure and freedom that draws the viewer into a contemplative space.
This is a charcoal drawing from my first semester at Northern Illinois University. Class was held in the old auditorium of Altgeld Hall. The class was held here because it was packed with miscellaneous old furniture, stage props, displays, you name it. The lighting was perfect. This charcoal drawing of mannequins/stage props covered in sheets tied up with sheeting. I loved drawing in that space.

This is an abstract painting about space. Within the shallow space of the painting, we have the purely abstract background of various shades of blue and bluegreen. The middle ground hovers above; it is a loose depiction of a beach-scape and hovers in front of the background. In the foreground, across the surface, are curvy bluegreen horizontal lines . These horizontal “airwaves” float over the entire surface. Some suggest floating out into the viewer's space, but others drift into the background. This play of space, color and value, creates tension for the viewer. The beach scape, while it floats, will never leave the surface of the painting. Even though it floats it is held close to the surface by the airwaves. The colors and image of this painting are not joyful. They are limited, ominous, and foreboding. The curvy horizontal lines that drift between the spaces of the painting are stagnant and drift uniformly.
