It's time!

GameSoundCon 2024 is just a few days away. It's one of my favorite events of the year; a homecoming-meets-educational-summit-meets-professional-party starring all of my favorite people from across the video game audio industry. An awful lot of people who teenage Mason would have described as his heroes will be in attendance. If you have any interest in working in the games industry as a composer, sound designer, actor, etc, this can be a really insightful conference to attend!

If you wanna catch any talks I'm involved in, I've got two:

Don’t Wing It, Sing It: Soundtrack Vocalists Discuss Collaboration, Career Paths, and VGM Vocal Techniques

- Vocal theme panel about songs, song-writing, and working with vocalists in VGM. Three iconic voices from the games industry (Amanda Achen, Casey Williams, and Laura Intravia) will sit down and discuss the process, with specially-produced demoes featuring each of them tackling a new, original theme in their unique styles!

Game Audio Education Roundtable

- I'll be leading the roundtable on the state of Game Audio education! I encourage all my peers in academia to join me; it'd be wonderful if we could really get a spirited discussion going. I've got some subjects to bring up that I think might be of interest to you all...!
