Today's prompt is "nature". I don't subscribe to the view that nature has *any* occurences of either the golden ratio or Fibonacci sequences. But sunflowers are nice. #MathArtMarch

I'd though Ron Knott of Surrey University had pretty convincingly shown that the arrangement of sunflower seeds does fit with the Fibonacci.... - but that doesn't mean there's anything mystical about it!
I'm always ranting about non-occurrence of Fibonacci numbers in nature, but we do know that more often than not sunflowers display Fibonacci numbers in their seed arrangements even if it's not the simple deterministic thing many claim. royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/...
