I took a photo of an empty parking lot with a strip mall and some palm trees in the background. Then I ran that image through a k-means clusterer and replaced every pixel with its cluster mean. Then I found the best matching between the cluster centers and the 8 colors that can be derived by setting each of red, green, and blue to either 255 or 0. Then I replaced each pixel with the pure color it mapped to. Resulting image ended up being a combination of black, white, and yellow. Result kind of looks like a bleak riff on the In-N-Out burger logo.
