Video shows painting on a wood panel while sitting in the back of a pickup truck. Parked at a public beach access, there’s a clear view all the way out to the nearby islands across the estuary. Trees are painted in low key value to emphasize the bright sunlight beyond the boardwalk.
Painting process using gouache live at sunrise on some fishing docks. In the view is a large white egret and further in the background, marshland and a pinkish sky. As the painting progresses, another egret appears on a table inside the shelter. Finishing with some short brush strokes to show grass, we pull out to reveal the finished piece after a few hours.

Starting with thinned oil paint, shapes that describe the buildings form through light and shadow are blocked out. The camera zooms into a signature with the letters “M” and “A” followed by”25” denoting the year.
