I upgraded the memory to 72MB, installed a clean MacOS 7.5.5 on a much bigger SCSI drive, leaving a partition free for MacOS 8.1 (the highest version possible on 68k machines) and a patch for dealing with modern dates. Unfortunately the drive needs an adapter and hence doesn't fit in the case.

It would be nice to leave the original drive in-situ and put the external drive in this cool case I picked up a while back. However, the internet warns against mixing narrow and wide SCSI devices on a bus and I am getting hang-ups when doing big copies from a SCSI CD device.
