It is hard to make out what is happening in the scene until a lone yellow rosella is spotted on the central tree's branch, asking where these birds will now shelter with their homes gone.
The image overlays a picture of the forest with top-down perspective photos of all the rubbish found while taking that photo. The forest is intentionally obscured by so much rubbish that it cannot be appreciated - similar to how it felt to be there in person.

This image depicts a mostly frozen conifer tree in Finland and in winter. The background is the clean white of the snow. A small branch is coming off the tree making contact with the ground. There are then two saplings in the ground that appear like they are fleeing the scene, with their limbs made up of clusters of needles from the sapling trees. One of the saplings appears to be raising it's arm and lagging behind the other, hence the title 'Wait For Me!'.
