Roblox's facial animation system has a feature called corrective poses, which allows you to define an additional pose for the face to take on when two or three base poses are colliding with each other. It's intended to fix collision issues on the face.

They encode this offset by computing a delta between the 2-3 poses and the corrective pose, then merging it on top. The hard thing to work out is how this all stacks together and composes. If you want to recover a 3-pose corrective's original pose, you may need to include active 2-pose correctives.
