Some details: using GPS data your phone already records, pulling locations from Apple Maps, tagging people from your address book, adding photos from your camera roll. All on-device.
I hope this isn’t a huge faux-pas, because this looks like a very cool project, but you should check out Arc Timeline as prior art! Matt has spent a long time thinking about the problems you’ll run into with always on location tracking in iOS.
Building apps for yourself and friends is the best.
Moves! I used that to keep track of how much time I spent going between buildings at Google.
