The problem it solves starts with the tools: I love using Obsidian as a place to visualize and link my markdown notes and enhance them with an open source community of plugins. It's replaced my use of Notion (which replaced Evernote 🪦) for #PKM (personal knowledge management). It's fun to me.

Now the problem: Obsidian Sync is great for fast copying of files and keeps config files _mostly_ aligned. When they do change, however, it can be messy to find the last good configuration. I also want the same config, like hotkeys, across un-synced Obsidian Vaults. That's where this works well.
