Michael Bleigh @mbleigh.dev · Jun 29 It occurs to me that we probably already have a pretty accurate model for how "agents as employees" will play out: self-driving cars. There are defined "autonomy levels" and we see those playing out in the market today for cars. Let's think about them in the analogous case of software engineering.

Level 1 automation is AI autocomplete -- the human is still very much in control, but gets some convenience. Level 2 is sidebar chat -- the human can delegate specific small tasks to AI but has to incorporate them into the larger whole.
