No appeals process this World Cup. The disciplinary committee can do what they want. Which opens things up for this kind of corruption but, I can imagine the thing that could happen if there was no further mechanism. A paid off ref gives a few red cards “nothing we can do” could go very bad.
Predicting the psychological dynamics of this are awful for #USMNT and the result tomorrow will be as well. We WERE going into the match with a chip on a shoulder and something to prove. Now they are the team out to beat the cheaters and we are on the defensive. Reminds me of 2016 vs. Mexico at HCS.
