I just wish (cheaper) generic drugs didn't = cheaper crapier ingredients 99% of the time. It would be so nice if we could just get regular drugs at "affordable" prices.

Seems like hospitals will be saving money but not the patients. They won’t ever pass savings onto the patients because they need that profit for CEO bonuses. It should be a contractual agreement that they have to discount those meds to patients if they received a discount themselves.

The problem is that when you have such a long chain of margin takers in the product-to-consumer pipeline, even when the start of that chain can make $ while reducing overall cost, you simply have too many "good faith" steps for the business case to come to fruition.

I also have a huge worry as a nurse. If they cut or destroy medicare/medicaide..hospitals will loose a LOT of their funding we rely on. Insurance pays penny on the dollar. If they cut back on nurses..and drop our salaries..EVERYONE will suffer. Those of us on the front li e and EVERY paitent.
We are going to need all the help we can get.
