The study will use non-invasive technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).

2) The project is led by Professors Ladislav Valkovič and Karl Morten at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR). In 2023, their team performed similar tests in patients with hereditary mitochondrial disease. Now they want to test ME/CFS.
Interesting. I think recruiting mild patients is ethically correct, but I'm concerned the signal might not be strong enough in a single muscle from brief localized exercise. Sort of wish they would recruit moderates instead. I'm sure they've carefully considered this though.
