Whatever gripes I might have with the pacing, the sentence structure, etc... None of it manages to be a deal-breaker when the character interactions are this much fun. I love watching Izuku and Ryuko influencing each other, watching them grow into different people than their canon selves without becoming unrecognizable. I love the passion for both series bleeding through every other sentence. It all takes me back to my MFRP days, and I love it for that. It's not for everyone, but it's enough for me. Also, the comic dubs / audio dramas Aduubo makes on the side give me so much fucking life. If nothing else, you gotta at least check those out.
Johnny Storm steals the show for me. I really liked how he was portrayed as a legit scientist with an legit reason for being on the team besides being Sue's brother. Also, Johnny and Ben being able to actually enjoy each other's company >>>>>
Also, the Deku memes spawned from this fight are so funny, they've kept me on Twitter. Just the fact that they went from slandering Deku to making him a fucking street-sweeping SCP...
Okay, I lied. One more thing I need to say. I need y'all to know that Wayne Terrisborn gives me faith in the solitary strength of the written word. Brandon Sanderson's prose is terrific in general, but Wayne's especially is just so fun to read all the damn time that I think adapting this story to any other medium... I dunno, man. We'd lose something special in the process. I still WANT a Mistborn adaptation, because goddamn, does Sanderson deserve more eyes on his work. But that's besides the point. What a standout character in an already fantastic cast.

The animation was kinda choppy / poorly placed, and I think the voicework could've used a few more takes here and there. But when it got hype, it got PRETTY FUCKING HYPE, MAN. We get it, Adi. You hate Christianity and think demons are misunderstood. But using literal demons to represent IRL refugees is certainly... A Choice, and it's especially jarring when applied to something like DMC. Like, you're not supposed to feel bad for demons, you're supposed to get Smokin' Sexy Style while using one as a skateboard. Dante's superpowers might come from his demonic heritage, but it's explicitly his humanity that makes him so strong. Devil May Cry has deep stories to tell, just not morally grey ones. And that's clearly something Adi doesn't understand.

I really wanna say Petunia Pig steals the show, but Farmer Jim's too funny. They just slapped an animated mouth on background stills and made a character out of that one gag. It's stupid, but my brother and I couldn't help laughing every time he appeared on-screen.

Yes, Ash and Koko actually do the Tarzan/Jane palm touch multiple times in the movie. Also, the action climax has Pikachu getting tossed around like the Infinity Gauntlet in Endgame before Iron Tailing a giant robot's control core in half like it's Metal Gear Rising. It's rad.

No, it's not because Asura lost. It's because Asura lost without having a single stand-out moment in the fight, because Asura went out like his game's first boss. It's because I've helped push this matchup for years, because I almost NEVER see my "most-wanteds" become reality (unlike seemingly everyone else in the community) and because I was repeatedly promised a 10/10 by the DB team. This isn't me hating on them, btw. This isn't me losing faith in their ability to cook, an ability which they've proven time and time again. This is me just... wishing I could enjoy this episode past the analysis and simply being unable to.

Also, playing as a manlet Nemesis is nearly as funny as Jessica McCarney (pictured right) is gorgeous. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration--they made Jessica so gorgeous that it actually made me realize (even more than I already had) how bad the story does her. Like, it's kinda infuriating and it could so easily be fixed. But I digress.
