Yes it is. I've had two. (Now riding a v100.) that bike is one of best road companions you'll ever treat yourself to.
Only you can say what its good for! But yeah to my mind the goose is more suited to putting down the miles/Ks. My guzzis tend to have "sub-optimal seats" and I often get a spare or the current seat customized.
Every bike is a tour bike if you have a tour bum. I toured around Europe on the rocket, MT10 and Diavel.
