Owen is laying in his bed, still awake, as Dog sleeps next to him. "Man, I really fucked up today," he thinks to himself. "Next time I see Doris I should apologize." There's a creak, revealing a shadowy figure standing silently at the edge of the bed. Owen glances over. The shadowy figure lunges at him, prompting him to pull out his glock he had hidden under his pillow. He points it at the figure, only for the figure to hold up her hand like a gun. "Bang," Madison says, kneeling before him. She laughs. "Shot ya first! That means you owe me a drink!"

We then cut to a shot of Owen sitting on the couch holding a beer. Dog is napping on his leg. "It's true," Setsuna continues, "but you understand where those emotions come from, don't you?" "Huh?" asks the disembodied voice of Harumi. "'Cause you love them. That's the real reason you want to protect them. Your emotions helped you beat up those robots, didn't it?" Cut to a close up side shot of Owen as he starts thinking back to his earlier conversation with Doris. "We've only known each other for like a year now!" Doris shouts. "And only the 'real' me for three months!" Next panel shows Doris from Owen's point of view during their conversation. "And that's long enough for you to be so assured that I'm trans?! The hell do you know?!" Doris shouts. The next panel goes back to Owen as the memory of Doris' yelling at him continues. "I've known myself all my damn life yet I don't even fucking know!!!" The light in the room goes off, indicating that Owen had turned off the TV. He then gets up from the couch and leaves the room as Dog lays on the couch, looking over at him. "C'mon, Dog. Let's go to bed."

Jade stands up from her seat. "Next time we meet I hope to see progress in the areas we discussed." She then walks to the exit and turns around to Miranda, who continues to look onward with an annoyed expression. "Have a good rest of the night, Dr. Hayes." There's a close up shot of the lat takoyaki on the plate. Next panels has Miranda staring intently at it as someone calls out her name. "Dr. Hayes," says a voice. "Yes?" Miranda replies as she turns. The voice comes from a middle aged man wearing a suit. "Under Miss Franklin's orders the restaurant is open for another hour before we relinquish it if you'd like to order anything else." "Yeah," Miranda says. "Get me one of everything to go." "Uh..." Miranda holds up two fingers. "And two bottles of lychee sake. Thanks." Miranda picks up and takes a bite of the last takoyaki, resting her head in her hand as she glances away. "Who the hell can I get to have sex with Doris?" she ponders with her annoyed expression.
